Surprise Express Entry draw, Canada has invited an additional 7,000 candidates

In the eighth Express Entry draw of 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 7,000 candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) to apply for permanent residency with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 484.

This draw ties the record for the largest all-program draw on March 15, where candidates with a minimum CRS score of 490 were invited.

The draw is surprising as it is the second consecutive week of Express Entry invitations, and the second-largest Express Entry draw ever, after the CEC-only draw in February 2021.
