On June 28, Canada’s immigration minister announced that they will conduct a special Express Entry draw for healthcare workers. This means that Canada will prioritize inviting healthcare professionals to apply for immigration.
The country has issued 500 invitations for healthcare workers and plans to issue an additional 1,500 invitations to eligible Express Entry candidates next week.
Canada’s immigration minister has also revealed that they will have a separate draw for candidates with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) backgrounds in the following week.
